Boucheron, 18ct gold, London hallmark for 1953, signed BMCo 46mm long by 23mm wide, weight 14.7gms

A gold brooch designed as a ostrich feather, set with six rubies and five diamonds in claw settings.

Boucheron made a variety of feather inspired pieces of jewellery during the fifties and sixties, all the pieces are hand made, each wire individually soldered to the stem, some pieces are all diamond set whilst others are set with additional rubies or sapphires.

This piece is particularly early and in perfect condition.
